The Fragile

Trent sums it up perfectly

She shines In a world full of ugliness
She matters when everything is meaningless

Fragile

She doesn't see her beauty
She tries to get away
Sometimes It's just that nothing seems worth saving

I can't watch her slip away

I won't let you fall apart

She reads the minds of all the people as they pass her by
Hoping someone can see
If i could fix myseld i'd-
But it's too late for me

I wont let you fall apart

We'll find the perfect place to go where we can run and hide
I'll build a wall and we can keep them on the other side
...but they keep waiting
...and picking
... It's something i have to do
I was there, too Before everyhting else
I was like you

Most photos Jacked from SMV Blog writters. and a couple others from Nasty Gal blog

Just some Photos I am completley inspired by right now. I'm totally into mixing pretty with punk. Rocker with whimsical or native and willowy. Thats what I feel these photos represent..
I have also been getting in touch with my Native american side(all 1/8th of me haha)I've always been into the art and culture as a kid. I used to make dreamcatchers with my Mom and go to Pow wows @ her college. If I ever visit my Auntie I'll take pictures of the one she still has that I made when I was like 10, it's fucking gorgeous, not to toot my own horn, but for 10!! come'om I'm happy it didn't turn out to be a ball of feathers and suede string. I also am starting to be come facinated with dead shit. Like skulls, actually REAL skulls and taxadermy animals. I know creepy but I am a dirt bag sometimes. ;) LOVE you Christine!

Fall Must Haves

Photobucket

Love this "Semster @ Oxford cape coat" from American Gold via Spanish Moss Vintage. It is the perfect combo of Cape and Pea coat for this fall/winter. Now if only I could find something similar for half the price...hmmm my search begins

Girl of my dreams Caftan, American Gold via Spanish Moss Vintage. Just cause I am IN LOVE with velvet and fringe right now...who isn't?

Photobucket
Midnight in the Desert coat, Spanish Moss Vintage. Yes this adorable jacket is sold out but I WILL find one like it.

Photobucket

Obey-Peached Dress, Via Lulus.com. I LOVE this little LBD, mainly the shoulder and neckline. It add's just enough sex appeal without over doing it. Plus I can layer crop tops and chiffon button ups over this beaut.

Photobucket

And I just LOVE this oversized black top, Via Lulus.com. It seems so versitile while being extremly comphy. I am loving this oversized trend right now...

As I am sitting here throwing this list together I can't help but think of how I used to own items JUST like these when I was younger. Honestly I still have clothing in my closet from my Middle School days. I just wish I would have kept some different things as a youngster...But I do know that I am going to hang onto ALL my staples for as long as I can fit into them. and Should I ever choose to procreate then my kids will have a plethora of Vintage clothes. Hopefully I have either a girl or gay boy though... :)

Shorts-Vintage Levi's
Shoes- Jefferey Campbell Alicia Wedge
Purse- Juicy ...it's older...
Belt-F21
Necklace-Gift-from Paris
Fox Tail- Alaska ONLY $10.00!!!!

These are officially my new FAVORITE shoes! When I recieved them in the mail, if any of you have ordered Jefferey Campbell's before then you know, that they come in this awesome box with a crossword puzzel on the front! too cool man..That was a nice little surprise.

Anywase they were WAY lighter then I expected and WAY more comphy then I expected, making them totally fesable as far as work goes. And they are a lot more versitile then I imagined, making them my go to black shoe for now.

I am sooooo stoked I picked up a fox tail while I was in Alaska, it was only $10.00!!! I have gotten a tremendous amount of compliments on it. And never has anyone given me shit for it which even it they did I would then have to profess my love for furs and leather...yes the real shit. sorry PETA...NOT! Hahah tooodles for now

Watch me not care.

Oh hump day why couldn’t you have come sooner...I still can’t believe it’s ONLY Wednesday. I am leaving on a jet plane for Seattle on Saturday and then proceeding onto a cruise ship and set sail...or I guess I should say propellers for Alaska!! I am in a bit of a tough spot though. I looked up the weather and it’s supposed to be raining the entire week! Booo, I guess it could be worse but I was really looking forward to some nice cooler weather. Not wet…which means NO shorts or tanks…laaaame.

Does any one have any suggestions for some outfits!? It should be in the high 50’s and wet…ugh. But I am excited to take a well needed vacation!!

I am wearing:
Sunnies-Ray ban
Blouse- Express button up
Belt-Vintage Furrrrster
Shorts-DIY Mom jean shorts
Shoes- NEW :) Jessica Simpson

So I am so ecstatic about receiving my gorgeous Jessica Simpson Dany platty’s yesterday! As I was saying on my lookbook and chictopia posts these babies caused quite the ruckus last night @ my Mother’s house. Lets just say she didn’t likey, she thinks shorts and high heels looks stripper/hooker-ish; which I completely DON’T agree with. So as I am trying to explain to her the style and the fact that I am 23 and don’t give a fuck what ANY one thinks…duh hello I have a shit ton of tattoo’s…she got pretty upset, so I left. We have since talked it out and she realizes that when she was MY age she wore the same shit if not worse. So all is well again, but she still doesn’t like my sky high UH mazing platty’s...fuck if I should care. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them and so does my BF!! He thinks they are Moy caliente!!!

Please excuse the bruises..them and me go hand and hand like banana's and Nutella

I am wearing:
Snood-Vintage Inspired
Blouse- Vintage
Circle Skirt-Vintage Saks
Shoezies-Vintage Stuart Weitzmans

So today is just an outfit post. I've been wanting to share this amazing skirt and pair of shoes with you guys. I came up on these beaut's through an EX, his G-ma had passed and his Mom let me go through all of Gammies clothes. I happend to come up on both the Saks Skirt and Stuart Weitsman heels. A fucking score if I have ever heard of one, right!? I love Free 99...

Also I don't know if alot of you are familiar with Snoods (the fishnet looking hat I am wearing) Snoods, along with turbans and head scarves were introduced during WWII(1940's) for a fashion alternative for the "working" lady. Since most men were off @ war, the woman had to work and instead of wearing those ghastley hair nets(EW) they wore these to keep their locks off their face and also to show support for our troops. pretty coolio huh?

If you notice the ribbon tied into the hair of two of these ladies there is a reason they are there. The ribbon wasn't an extra fashion statement, just like in Hawaii with flowers, the ribbon is a label... SINGLE!!! These were to let guys know these ladies were not married yet, and were available. This was also a tradittion in Scotland and parts of Europe up untill the 20th century.

Have a grrrreat weekend everyone!

Douchebag Anthem

I just HAD to share this! My co worker showed me this and i was rolling on the ground laughing...

I am wearing: Scarf-Vintage
Dress-Bebe
Shawl-Vintage
Shoes-Aldo
Purse- Vintage Fossil

So I have THREE gogeous new items that will soon be up for sale @ Dutch Oven Vintage. The first is a Perfect Condition Vintage Fossil Satchel. This lil beaut has a built in wallet in the side zipper pocket, so no more leaving the ID and CC's @ the bar...oooops >)...
Second is the Vintage Suede Shawl i am wearing. This is made out of polyester(feels like micro fiber suede) and suede fringe. With rose black on black embroidery all around the fringed edges. This is a light weight shawl, perfect for those Indian summer nights!
Third is that Vintage Paisley print Scarf. I have had this scarf for a while and am ready to part with it. The paisley print features an awry of beautifully bold gem tone colors, sure to give any plain outfit a big POP of color.
